WD Blue SN5100 NVMe™ SSD – 1TB

The WD Blue SN5100 NVMe SSD 1TB is a PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe solid-state drive designed for fast storage performance in compatible desktop PCs and laptops. It uses the M.2 2280 form factor and PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 interface, while remaining backward compatible with earlier PCIe generations. The 1TB model delivers sequential read speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 6,700 MB/s, making it suitable for operating systems, applications, games, large files, and demanding creative workflows.

The drive uses SANDISK QLC 3D CBA NAND and SANDISK nCache 4.0 technology. For random workloads, the 1TB model is rated for up to 1 million IOPS random read and 1.3 million IOPS random write performance. Its rated endurance is 600 TBW, while the manufacturer specifies an MTTF of 1.75 million hours.

The compact M.2 2280 drive measures 80 × 22 × 2.38mm and weighs approximately 5.7g. It operates between 0°C and 85°C and supports TCG Pyrite 2.01 and ATA Security passthrough over NVMe. The SN5100 is also supported by SANDISK Dashboard for drive monitoring and firmware updates, while Acronis True Image software is available for compatible data migration.
